| not having a good night... |
[10 Nov 2009|02:52am] |
So I didn't eat much today. I had some toast for breakfast, 2 grilled cheeses for lunch and another 2 for dinner and a slice of orginal syle cheesecake.
I layed down at midnight to go to sleep, as I am very tired and have a lot to get done tomorrow so I would like a decenet sleep. Obviously my colon has other plans. For the last roughly 3 hours, I have forced to flee to the toilet every hour, to sit and projecticle out nothing even remotely identifiable.
Its all clear liquidy with speckles of poo. I stay seated on the john until I am certain its all out, only to end up back in the same position an hour later, doing the same thing. Its getting to the point my poor bum hurts a little.
Is it so much to ask for a decent night sleep when that is all I want?

| Koolaid is bad. |
[09 Nov 2009|08:10pm] |
My roommates and I are cheap bastards. When we saw that one of our local groceries had an amazin sale on cheap vodka, we went and bought 12 bottles. Why? You never know when you'll need a jug of vodka. Well, it dawned on us that we don't like vodka, so we decided to mix a bunch of it into Koolaid and just drink it straight that way. We bought 15 packets of blue Koolaid, and went on our merry way.
Friday night, we mixed 5 bottles of vodka with 6 packets of koolaid, and the 4 of us drank the entire concoction. Do you know what a packet of koolaid will do to your insides? Apparently, it stains everything blue or green. Saturday morning, my pee had a greenish tinge to it. That was strange. But now, when ever I take a poop, it's different colors. Saturday was all different hues of blue. From blueberry to an almost teal. Sunday was a green. Today, still green. That's not right. I'd love to see what color my intestines are.

I'm tempted to get a pair of Tabi boots, just for the increased mobility and agility they supposedly give. That, and they just look damn COMFORTABLE.
I just do not know much about quality/make issues. I should research this ^_^. Any ideas?
Note: I'm sure many of you are aware of how the big toe basically enables us to run/walk the way we do. In fact, it used to be a custom to cut off the big toes and thumbs of one's enemies a couple thousand years ago - well, people have always been doing that, but it has not been so much of a normal custom within the last 500 years - because one would not be able to run or hold a sword. In fact, often times the pointer finger would be cut off too, so that one could not use a bow with as much ability. It would be interesting to see what someone's ability is like were that person to have much more use of the big toe.

PHILIP BUTLER TRAPPED AT SEA Sawmill / Steelmill
I know nothing of folk music apart from the simple fact I recoil from the twee worldview I associate with anything reared from Steeleye/Fairport sap, but Butler is like a descendant of the darker moods evoked by John Martyn or Michael Chapman. And, why we’re contemplating this, he’s got ‘There's ghosts in the coaching house........’ written on his myspace page, and announces new song ‘Jack The Moment’ (or ‘Jack The Mommet’ according to the myspace player) as concerning, “a supernatural scarecrow that abducts young girls and transforms them into his straw brides,” which is definitely a direction we want to see him going in, tapping into a fertile territory. I figured I’d tip you off about this because it was released earlier this year and it’s a limited edition of only 100.

| Good morning |
[09 Nov 2009|07:50am] |
Backstory: I went biking on Shelter Island yesterday. On the final downhill to the south ferry, a whole bunch of suicidal bugs attacked me.
Story: I woke up this morning and rubbed away the eye crusties. My left eye was troublesome. I picked around, pulled away my finger, and there was half a dead fly on it.

The weather yesterday was incredible; like late summer/early fall instead of November. I went jogging, then had a big breakfast of seven-grain porridge and honey, onion bagels and lox, fresh coffee, and an orange/blueberry/banana smoothie. Extremely satisfying. I spent a chunk of the day outside and another chuck curled up in bed with the windows open, a good book and a pile of pillows around me. Satisfying.
I can't stop thinking about Laura and I'm totally okay with this.

I am a dental hygienist. I have seen some pretty serious cases of dental neglect, but the cases in this photo album are way more gross than anything I've encountered personally. I thought they might be appreciated by you all.
FYI for you non-dental people, "calculus" is a fancy dental term for tartar.
Behold, the "Nasty Calculus" gallery!
I am particularly fond of picture #16. Enjoy!

[08 Nov 2009|07:59pm] |
So I thought I'd finally store my suitcase away, after letting it sit in a corner of my bedroom since a trip I took in February. I opened it up, thinking I might find a travel toothbrush or a forgotten pair of socks.
